Round 20, Bargaining Dispatch XIII: Tentative Agreement Reached with Employer

After seven months of negotiations, your FSA bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with BCIT Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026--subject to ratification by the membership.

The tentative 4-year agreement includes gains on key issues identified by the membership as priorities in the bargaining survey, including a 3% wage increase each year and improved extended health benefits. Full details are available in the Member Portal area of our website, in the 2026 Tentative Agreement Documents folder. 

We will be holding an online Bargaining Town Hall to discuss the details of the settlement and answer your questions on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:30pm. The Meeting will be recorded and posted on our website for those unable to attend. A ratification vote, facilitated by Simply Voting, will begin immediately after the Town Hall and run until May 14, 2026 at 9pm. Members should receive an email from Simply Voting on May 6 just before 5pm containing their voting token and instructions.
