The FSA celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), marked annually on 3 December. The IDPD is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and to raise awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life.

Annually, December 6, the FSA joins people and institutions from across the country in commemorating the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, in which 14 women were killed in an act of misogynistic violence. The FSA follows the United Nations in commemorating International Migrants Day on December 18.

On February 14, FSA members join others in Vancouver for the Women's Memorial March to honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, with similar events taking place across North America.

The FSA celebrates International Women's Day, which has its origins in radical demands for gender equality.

The FSA commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Racial discrimination and the legacies of slavery and colonialism continue to destroy lives and curtail opportunities, preventing billions of people from enjoying their full human rights and freedoms.

The FSA commemorates the Day of Mourning, which  is a day to remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy. It’s also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improving health and safety in the workplace and to preventing further injuries, illnesses and deaths.

The FSA celebrates International Workers' Day, also known as May Day. Each May 1, working people come together to celebrate our achievements and demand a better a future.
