Shape Your Union: 2021 Baseline Survey

Shape Your Union: 2021 Baseline Survey

From Colin Jones, FSA President, and the FSA Board of Directors

Update (2021-06-14): The survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey! A report on the results will be shared with the membership at the October 2021 AGM. This survey will be back in your inboxes in 2023.

    Biennial FSA Baseline Survey!

While the FSA has surveyed you on a variety of topics, from bargaining to strategic planning, in 2017 we did our first baseline member survey. The survey was the start of a regular biennial survey. The 2017 and 2019 surveys provided us with a substantial amount of information about you – the membership – and have been useful in informing our work.

Have questions? Check out our survey FAQ (PDF), which will also tell you how to direct any questions about the survey that remain unanswered.

    Time Frame

You will receive an email providing an access link on the week of April 26th. The email will come from Survey Monkey and the link generated will be specific to your email address (please check your junk mail folder if you don’t see it!). The survey response deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021. The estimated completion time for the survey is 15 minutes.

If you do not receive an email by April 30th please first check your spam folder/settings to see if the email was caught. If you still don’t have the email, you can then contact the FSA and we will ensure you are able to complete the survey. The settings have been configured to not collect IP addresses in the survey results therefore increasing the confidentiality of the responses.

    Why Participate?

Member participation in the 2017 and 2019 surveys has informed bargaining, strategic planning, and operational planning. We are also excited for the 3rd iteration of this survey so that we can look at trends when comparing data from previous surveys – you can help with this! For this survey to impact future decisions about the FSA’s work, we need you to participate! We truly appreciate your time, perspectives, and participation.

    Incentives

We will draw for a $50 VISA gift card each of the full weeks that the survey is open. Once the survey is closed, we will do a final draw for a $150 VISA gift card.

    Survey Purposes

    • Know what’s important to FSA members

    We Value Your Input

By taking the time, approximately 15 minutes, to complete this survey, you are telling us what you think about the FSA and our work. Your input will help us enhance this work and offer you better representation, services and support.

Have questions? Check out our survey FAQ (PDF), which will also tell you how to direct any questions about the survey that remain unanswered.
