Bargaining Town Hall

On May 27, 2020, your Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with BCIT. As per the process for bargaining, this tentative agreement will now be presented to you, the FSA membership, for a ratification vote. The Bargaining Team recommends voting yes to ratify the agreement.

This Town Hall for FSA members will include a presentation of the tentative agreement and a chance for questions from members. A high-level overview is posted on our blog and a detailed summary of the tentative agreement is posted in the Members Portal on our website (Login required).

FSA members will receive a calendar invite for this Town Hall which will include the Zoom login information. 

Timing

The quick turnaround from reaching a tentative deal, to sharing it with you, and having you vote on it, is that one area of this tentative agreement – improved extended benefits – that becomes ‘unlocked’ upon the date of ratification, and we want to make sure that those of you who can access those benefits, can do so as soon as possible.

Ratification & Voting

Immediately following this Town Hall, members will receive voting credentials through our secure and anonymous voting system, Simply Voting. This is the same system we use for our elections and have used in previous rounds of bargaining. The ballot will include a link to the summary of the tentative agreement.

Voting will be open until Monday, June 8, Noon PDT.
