Election Candidates
FSA elections take place online, which means that the current COVID-19 situation does not interfere with our election cycle.
In 2022, the following positions were up for election:
- One (1) President (2022-24 term)
- One (1) Vice President (2022-24 term)

- Information Session for Prospective Board Members (Thursday, March 10, 4pm)
- Formal Call for Nominations (Wednesday, March 23)
- Download the fillable PDF FSA 2022 Election Nomination Form and submit to fsa@bcit.ca
- Nominations Close (Wednesday, April 6, Noon)*
- Deadline: Candidate Statement Submissions (Wednesday, April 6, Noon)
- Candidate Statements Posted to Website (Friday, April 8)
- Notice to Membership of Candidates Seeking Positions (Friday, April 8)
- All-Candidates Forum (4pm, Wednesday, April 13)
- All-Candidates Orientation – This is only for candidates. Date will be communicated directly.
- Electronic Voting Begins (Wednesday, April 13, Noon)
- Electronic Voting Ends (Wednesday, April 27, Noon)
- Election Results Announced (Friday, April 29, Noon)
*One nomination received for each President and Vice President. Election decided by acclamation.
