FSA President and Treasurer Join Striking BCGEU Members
Yesterday morning our BCITFSA President and Chief Negotiator Colin Jones and Treasurer Terry Gordon, joined by Executive Director Michael Conlon and Member Engagement Officer (MEO) Matt Greaves, walked with striking BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) members on their Delta picket line. Colin and Terry expressed to those on the line our union’s gratitude for their sacrifices and determination. “What GEU workers get at the bargaining table will set a template for the rest of the public sector. Our fights are one and I’m proud to walk with BCGEU workers,” Jones said.
Striking workers have been picketing the following Liquor Distribution Branches since August 15.
- Delta Distribution Centre (DDC) – 7003 72nd Street, Delta, B.C.
- Kamloops Distribution Centre (KDC) – 9881 Dallas Drive, Kamloops, B.C.
- Richmond Distribution Centre (RDC) – 3389 No 6 Rd, Richmond, B.C.
- Victoria Wholesale Customer Centre – 2291 Government Street, Victoria, B.C.
