Like CPR, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is an emergency response to someone in crisis that saves lives. According to a recent survey of over 30,000 students from post-secondary institutions across Canada, 13% reported having seriously considered suicide and 2% reported having made a suicide attempt in the past 12 months (ACHA-NCHA II, Spring 2016).
